I think I mentioned this before, but I was 11 at the time and at a Campfire Girl camp in Texas (El Tesoro, southwest of Fort Worth) when this happened. Everyone were terrified, since Oklahoma wasn't that far away. They had us in cabins, but we were all gathered up and brought to the big building where we usually ate. We were all sent home early (the camp was supposed to run all week.)
Things were a lot more sheltered back then, so this crime really hit hard.
