Happy Monday!
* For those of you with the Science Channel, FYI: Ridley Scott's new series Prophets of Science Fiction begins this Wednesday, November 9.
* I'm intrigued by this glimpse of Helena Bonham Carter as Miss Havisham in the forthcoming adaptation of Great Expectations.
* Pumpkin spice lattes are gone from Starbucks until next year. Woe.
* Reminder: If you'd like a holiday card from me, please respond here. Thanks!
Enjoy (if that's the right word) 24 nerdy jokes in 2:30 minutes (thanks to
killerweasel):
So dull and dark are the November days.
The lazy mist high up the evening curled,
And now the morn quite hides in smoke and haze;
The place we occupy seems all the world.
- John Clare, "November"

And thanks also to you, I have pumpkin coffee at home, too. :) It does seem like Starbucks dropped off too soon, doesn't it? I thought Thanksgiving used to be the dividing line for coffee seasons. Blech.

Silly Starbucks. I guess they wanted to make room for the Christmas lattes, but still, we have Thanksgiving to get through first. And in my family Christmas dinner is more or less a re-run of Thanksgiving, so more pumpkins!
