Date: 2007-08-11 06:21 am (UTC)LOL re your almost Harbor View - much better to have things such as these obscured by gorgeous trees! A neighbour who's building their house next door soon (a 2-storey brick monster...sigh - er, the house that is, not the neighbour!) was commenting on the HUGE and elegant elm tree we have in our back yard, on the border with another set of neighbours: "It's too big; it'd be better to get rid of it." OMG! He was otherwise a nice seeming man.
Everything here is peachy, if a little mad (which will be a permanent state, I feel). Evie's lovely to spend time with and I find myself becoming much more insular with wanting to be domestic and do stuff with her. Never thought I'd be saying that. Having a child has humbled me a lot; mostly because I tended to ride too many hobby-horses, pre-baby, about parenting and the horror of staying at home. Now, of course, I'm riding a bunch of hobby-horses about parenting and the horror of full-time work...oy.
