First of all, A Tear in the Space-Time Continuum has been updated. It includes Star Trek: Voyager, The Professionals, The X-Files, and The Lone Gunmen fan fiction as well as recommendation links. Enjoy!

Second, thanks to [livejournal.com profile] justacat, those who love fan fiction set in the universe of The Professionals now have an all new and improved Circuit Archive. Overhauled, expanded, and easy to search, this site has been a long time in the making and is great news for all who want more Bodie, Doyle, and Cowley fic at their fingertips.

And two more news bits that amuse me.

[livejournal.com profile] idiotic_savant has posted "Harry Potter: Pop Star?", a recasting of the Harry Potter series using only musicians. This is a must read. Trust me on this. Snape and the Marauders in particular cracked me up.

Not so new, but still a must read, is Valeria Fate's parody list "Deep Fanfic Thoughts, by Jack Handey." I have a soft spot for SNL's Jack Handey. In fact, I used to have a sign on my dorm room door with this "Deep Thought" quote: "Sometimes I wish I was dead. No wait. Not me. You." And see? It's still funny, over a decade later. I appreciate how Valeria Fate has captured the flavor of "Deep Thoughts" and applied it to fandom.

Here are three of my favorites:

If the Vikings were around today, they would probably be amazed at how we take male pregnancy fics completely for granted.

Consider the daffodil. And while you're doing that, I'll be over here, taking your story and posting it as my own to another list.

If they had fanfic back in the Dark Ages, I bet the most common question readers would ask is, "Can't you put a catapult in this story?" No, I'm sorry. That would violate canon.

Go forth and read and smile. :)
