Hello everyone! A few items of interest:

* [livejournal.com profile] vonjunzt is developing a terrific online resource: Lovecraft's Library. This is an initiative to collect links to online versions of books H.P. Lovecraft is known to have read, used, or owned. So far, there's only a page for "S" and one for "F" and a link to two books, but updates will come soon. If anyone has any links they can share, please send them his way!

* The SF/fantasy collection Elemental is coming out around May 16. It's edited by Steve Savile and Alethea Kontis. All the profits go to the Save the Children Tsunami Relief Fund, and all the stories were donations. It's SF and fantasy, and the line-up includes [livejournal.com profile] marthawells, Edith Friesner, Brian Aldiss, Jacqueline Carey, David Drake, Joe Haldeman, Sherrilyn Kenyon, Larry Niven, and others. [livejournal.com profile] marthawells has several online buying links listed on her Buy Stuff Online page, including the Booksense link, which will find it for you at an independent bookstore near where you live. Be sure to check out her other works while you're there!

* There's an interesting new community at [livejournal.com profile] dracula1897. The premise is this: Dracula is an epistolary novel (meaning that it's written as a series of documents; usually letters, here everything from letters to diary entries to newspaper clippings). On this community, they'll be appearing on the day they're dated, starting with Jonathan Harker's first journal entry on the 3rd of May. The novel finishes in November, so we've got about six months. The only posts appearing in this community will be the installments of the novel itself, so you can read along just by adding it to your friendslist. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] agentxpndble for this recommendation.)

* Today is the final day to pre-order The Magic Ring and save 20%.

And now, for something completely different, because I can't resist:

The Zombie Attack Quiz )

The Detailed Starship Quiz )

"There are worlds out there where the sky is burning. Where the
seas sleep and the rivers dream. People made of smoke and cities made of song. Somewhere there's danger. Somwhere there's injustice. And somewhere else the tea is getting cold."
