Montreal or Bust!
Aug. 4th, 2009 03:27 pmI'm out of here, folks.
But first, a few links for your day:
* The nominated works for the 2009 World Fantasy Award have been announced. This looks to be an especially good year! Special congrats to Edith L. Crowe for being recognized for her work with The Mythopoeic Society.
* Fantasy author Terry Pratchett campaigns for death with dignity. This is a heartbreaking read, but, I think, a very important one.
* Librivox has added an unabridged recording of its "Short Science Fiction Collection #22."
My next post will be from WorldCon! I'll catch you on the flip side...
"For me science fiction is a way of thinking, a way of logic that bypasses a lot of nonsense. It allows people to look directly at important subjects."
- Gene Roddenberry, creator of Star Trek
