Inspired by Dracula

For today's Halloween quote, I offer the lyrics to the song "Shelter from the Night," which was written by Gary Hughes and inspired by Bram Stoker's Dracula. It's on Bob Catley's wonderful album Legends.

Heh, I love All Hallow's Eve as well. The whole feeling of October and everything, but also for a purely selfish reason. It's my birthday. *grin*

Thanks! I'm so glad you liked it! :) Bob Catley has an amazing album called Middle Earth that's just about Tolkien. I just love his music. This seemed particularly Halloween-ish, though.

I'm glad you liked the song. And lucky you - what a great day to have a birthday! And it's easy to remember, too! :) Mine's almost a month later, and having a birthday tangled up with Thanksgiving isn't fun at all. Happy early birthday AND All Hallow's Eve!

Bob Catley is amazing. Legends has songs all about figures from literature and popular culture - everything from the Phantom of the Opera and the Illiad to Elvis Presley. My favorite album of his is Middle Earth, which is all Tolkien related. Remind me before we see each other again (will you be at PhreakNic?) and I'll be glad to loan you some of his work, if you'd like.
