All You Need Is a Patch of September Sun
Sep. 6th, 2010 01:38 pmHappy early birthday greetings to Abbie of The Sage in Bloom,
alii_s, and
agameofthree. I hope all three of you enjoy a fantastic birthday and a brilliant year to come!
Virginia recommends finding a patch of sunlight and taking it easy. She'll even show you how.
See? It's simple.

I have a couple of links to share:
"God does not play dice with the universe; He plays an ineffable game of His own devising, which might be compared, from the perspective of the players, (i.e. everybody), to being involved in an obscure and complex version of poker in a pitch-dark room, with blank cards, for infinite stakes, with a Dealer who won't tell you the rules, and who smiles all the time."

- The first issue of Salon Futura, a new online non-fiction magazine devoted to the discussion of science fiction, fantasy and related literature, is now available here, and it's well worth reading. And hearing. And watching. It's multimedia! Cheryl Morgan is at its helm, so it's no wonder that it's good.
- Uncle Hugo's Science Fiction Bookstore has posted a terrific interview of fictional hero Miles Vorkosigan, conducted by his creator, the brilliant Lois McMaster Bujold. It's fun, and it whets the appetite for her forthcoming new Vorkosigan novel, Cryoburn.
