I'm in my late 40s now. After all these years, just seeing that logo and hearing that music puts a huge grin on my face and makes my heart race! And I know I am not the only one.

I find that extraordinary!

Everyone on Facebook is fairly bouncing over this. I'm pretty excited, too. The original was such a game-changer. I have high hopes that JJ Abrams will do a good job. I *loved* what he did with Star Trek.

I do, too.

Just hearing Mark Hamill's voice, and the swell of John Williams's music, and I'm five and a half again, wielding my first (but not last) lightsaber.

Magic.

Seriously, all it took was the music and Mark Hamill's "The Force is strong in my family," and I had tears running down my cheeks. Tears.

And that is a brilliant icon. :)

I am way more excited than I thought I would be. I suspect it'll die down again until the movie actually comes out, but just seeing Han Solo again got me so giddy! I hated the most recent three movies (let us not speak of them) but the original trilogy were a big part of my childhood, even though I'd never call myself a Star Wars fan.

Ooooh! Thank you for posting this! And isn't it strange and amazing and wonderful how that music works, and hearing Luke behind it all, and then seeing Han and Chewie at the end, to take you right back to... oh, simpler times (cos I was that young then too *g*) I so hope they get these films right...

I can hardly wait–though it's still going to be a long wait for all three. Still, I can hardly wait! *g*

I was not impressed when I heard that Diz was taking over the franchise. Said i would never go see this movie.

Wow, never is SUCH a long time. I might have meant to say, "I will EVER go see this movie".

wowzer.
