Academic writer and editor Leon E. Stover, born 1929, died at his home in Chicago on Saturday, 25 November 2006, at the age of 77. Stover, a professor emeritus of anthropology at the Illinois Institute of Technology, collaborated with Harry Harrison on anthology Apeman, Spaceman (1968) and novel Stonehenge: Where Atlantis Died (1983), co-edited with Willis E. McNelly Above the Human Landscape: An Anthology of Social Science Fiction (1972) and with Bruce Craig Stonehenge and the Origins of Western Culture (1979), and wrote nonfiction works on Harry Harrison, Robert A. Heinlein, and H.G. Wells.
