Happy belated birthday to [livejournal.com profile] artwhisperer. I hope this year is the best yet!

I have a few links to share:

* Thanks to Sword of Gryffindor (a great site for those who enjoy the Harry Potter series and take the books seriously as literature) for recently recommending my blog. I appreciate it! Incidentally, Sword of Gryffindor's blog is now syndicated for LJ as [livejournal.com profile] sword_gryff.

* [livejournal.com profile] read_hp is hosting a Harry Potter Read-A-Long. Beginning March 12, the community will be reading the entire Harry Potter series chapter by chapter in anticipation of the final book, which will be released on July 21, 2007. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] agentxpndble.)

* [livejournal.com profile] princeofcairo is taking a "Tour De Lovecraft," reading through HPL's works and commenting on each, in his blog. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] vaklam.)

* A Finnish politician seeks Klingon votes. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] sithdragn.)

* The USPS will soon have some R2D2 mailboxes. (Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] agentxpndble.)

Artoo mailboxes, I want one! Not sure what I'd do with it, but I want it!

And thanks for your recommendation as well!

You've made me add to my reading list, by the way. I've ordered a book of Lovecraft stories.

You're most welcome. I'm really excited about what you're accomplishing with your site.

And that's fabulous news!

If you'd like, I'd be more than happy to send you my Lovecraft-Tolkien article. Just let me know. And no worries if you're not interested - that's cool, too.

I'd love a copy of the Lovecraft-Tolkien article. Could you just contact me through this E-Owl link? I'll reply back, and then you can attach it in your response.

I'm also going to have to start digging through the stuff you posted a while back on Arthurian legends and the hallows. I posted an essay on the HP-Essays LJ (and at SoG) and got skewered for linking some completely discredited scholar (a link I'd found through HP-Lexicon).

I look forward to hearing what you come up with re: the Arthurian links! (My original post on that was here.)

I don't agree with the last quote.

I can see both sides: I guess it would depend on what mood you caught me in, what I would think about it. :)
