This makes my day.

"He felt that his whole life was some kind of dream and he sometimes wondered whose it was and whether they were enjoying it."

WOOOOOOHOOOOOOOOOO!
That were great!
Also, Alan Rickman!

You know, I was dead set against this movie. I love the text. And I love how it acts in my mind. It's one of the few narratives that I really rather enjoy reading and not seeing. But it looks as though they've done a great job with it.

Exactly!!!!

You've described my thoughts perfectly. I was really uncertain at first, but I'm finding the combination of affection, irreverence, and energy that I see in the trailers to be thoroughly exciting.

And the chance of hearing Alan Rickman voice Marvin is simply too good to miss. :)

I'm SO looking forward to it, and the thought of Stephen Fry as the narrator is a great big plus. It's a fun trailer as well.

I can't see the trailer at work!

(I so much hope they don't screw this up...but if they do, I'm not going to whine and moan and complain about the awful horrible movie, like the anti-PJ LOTR contingent...I'm just going to pretend the whole thing never happened. I'm good at denial. Sirius isn't dead, either.)

Oh no! I'm so sorry. It's quite worth a watch.

I so much hope they don't screw this up...

So do I. I must admit, the more I see, the better I feel about it. I hope these early glimpses convey the spirit of the film as a whole.

I'm just going to pretend the whole thing never happened. I'm good at denial. Sirius isn't dead, either.

Excellent idea! In that event, may I join you in your denial? We can live in our own little world. :)

To quote Mr. Savage: "I reject your reality, and replace it with my own!"

To quote myself, "I'll live in my own world, I like it here. Batman and Robin never happened here." and "Leave me my delusions, they're all I have."

It's good for what ails ya, isn't it? The laughs came in handy today. Then again, I never got the hang of Thursdays... ::wink::

the trailer was most excellent. am v excited - but having to wait till the end of APRIL?? they mustn't know about my capacity to be impatient...

the cast sounds fantastic and, even if it doesn't quite reach the heights of adams' text, it'll definitely be a worthwhile object anyway.

*contemplates re-reading primary text before flick*

I couldn't agree more with both of your points. I think I'm due for a rereading myself, by the way.

He he he he he! Oh, I do so hope that this is good. It has a lot of promise, from the trailer, tho I'm not too sure about how they're doing Zaphod's second head.

Still the deep voice of a seven foot tall man bit had me rolling.

That's when I lost it. If they're this clever with the trailer, it bodes well for the film!
