I am back from a busy but rewarding time lecturing at Brown University. The highlight of my week was my tour of Lovecraftian sites in Providence. I've uploaded my photos, including the following:

That was exceptionally enjoyable. What a beautiful place with about as much visible history as it's possible to see in this country without digging in the ground. There are wonderful homes in Providence and it's so cool that they are all still there, even the one that was moved. You got some really good photography. I'm glad the weather cooperated.

Oh, I'm so glad you enjoyed the pictures. You're so right about Providence being exceptionally beautiful and jam-packed full of amazing history. I could find only two buildings related to Lovecraft and the history he referenced that weren't still standing. Isn't that amazing? I was very fortunate with the weather. I made the practice run of the tour on my own on Friday, which was in the seventies. The student tour was scheduled for Tuesday, which was in the upper nineties, but we were able to reschedule it for Thursday, when it was only in the low eighties, so that worked out very well. Thanks for letting me share the pictures with you!

Amy, it looks like your walking tour went great! You've got some terrific photos there and your Google map was a really nice touch. I'm looking forward to being back in Providence in late July and again in October, though I don't yet know when I'll be moving there. Later!
