eldritchhobbit: (Dr. Who)

My summer schedule of absolute insanity continues! I'm off tomorrow to participate in a multidisciplinary conference on "Externalities, Public Goods, and Common Property" in Indianapolis. (I'm hoping this time my Indianapolis experience will be earthquake-free.) I should be online part of the time, but just in case, I want to wish [livejournal.com profile] valancourtbooks a happy early birthday and a fantastic year to come.

I'll be back on Sunday. Until then, enjoy some Dalek Masterpiece Theatre (with thanks to [livejournal.com profile] agentxpndble):

BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! AHA!....HA! Brilliant.

Your summer schedule of absolute insanity is starting to make my head hurt. Apparently you're made of tougher stuff than I am. Happy travels, once again!

BAAHAHAHAHAHAHAAAA! AHA!....HA! Brilliant.

My reaction exactly. :)

I don't know about the "tougher stuff" - it's making my head hurt, too! I only have two trips left this summer: one in July for my sister's wedding, and one in August for a conference (one I'm quite looking forward to attending). That certainly beats one trip a week! I'd fire the person responsible for my summer schedule, except that person is me. ;) I hope you're having a good one!

Is she in Oklahoma?

*sigh* That was me again.

Why do I always end up looking like such a creeper?!

LOL! Yep, my baby sister (and one and only sibling) is getting married over the holiday of the 4th in Oklahoma. It's hard to believe it - I feel so old! LOL. (And I'm her matron of honor.) Thanks so much for the congrats for her!

We should have gotten Christopher Eccleston.

Brilliant!

Thanks for sharing!!!

I listened to your interview posted yesterday and it was great, but I got distracted exploring Second Life before I could respond, lol. Just so I could poke around I created the persona of Estellye Lorefield. So far it's most unusual and I feel paleolithic. heh

Oh, thank you so much for listening to it! That's so kind. That was a totally spur-of-the-moment experience that happened when I was sitting out in the hallway, realizing I was too late to make the Resnick reading after the Star Trek panel ran over time. I hope I could've been more coherent with a little more warning! LOL.

I love the name Estellye Lorefield! I really need to get into Second Life and explore it a bit. I've heard tons about it, but I've never dipped my toes into the pool, as it were.

Daleks doing Shakespeare! Or not, as the case may be. Love it. Especially playing with "Exterminate!"

Have fun with your summer jaunts.

Isn't it a hoot? I'm glad you liked it, too.

Thanks for your good wishes - they're most appreciated!

Okay, that was strange. My favourite Shakespeare play, though. :~)

I was particularly tickled by "Will you shut up about Christopher Eccleston?" LOL!

It's a great play. I think if I had to choose my favorite Shakespeare, though, I'd go with Lear. I finally saw Ian Holm's version: wow!

Ooh, Ian Holm as Lear? I'll bet he was terrific! Have you ever seen him in From Hell? If not, you must!

Oh, I love From Hell! The ending, with him sitting crumpled in the cell, is absolutely chilling. Great, great stuff!

Geez, his whole performance as Jack the Ripper is chilling. The man is awesome!

Hee! Thanks so much for the cake. I didn't get a real one, so a virtual one made all the difference :) And the Dalek masterpiece theatre is hilarious. Thank you!

Great, thanks! I'm kind of glad it's over, though, as I think normal life is less stressful :)
