"the monster within idea"
Jul. 8th, 2008 02:36 pmHappy birthday to
bouncybabylemur and
fungus_files. May both of you fantastic ladies have terrific days and wonderful years to come!
For those of you in/near Charlotte, North Carolina, be sure to check out the events planned for the forthcoming American Zombie: George A. Romero's Film Revolution celebration. We'll definitely be attending the opening night screening of Night of the Living Dead followed by the Q&A Session with George A. Romero. What a great way to mark the film's fortieth anniversary! The fact it will be held in a historic church will make it all the more "morbid and creepifying," methinks. I can't wait.

You're icon is great!
Date: 2008-07-09 12:40 am (UTC)I hope that you're enjoying your summer. It didn't sound like you had much of a break coming.
By the way, Gina and I went to an Italian restaurant last weekend and had an authentic Italian waiter (he was quite nice looking also...he reminded me of Daniel Craig, the new 007). Hearing him, got Gina reminiscing about the adorable Gisueppe (sp?) whom I've never met. We also chuckled about the "Hello, I am Giuseppe" greeting he would say when he called you. :)
Hugs,
Lisa

Date: 2008-07-10 02:25 pm (UTC)It would be so much fun to see you at the Night of the Living Dead event! I think it's a once in a lifetime kind of opportunity to see living film history, especially since Romero will take Q&A after the viewing. I really hope you and Gina can come! It's general seating, so we'd be able to sit together and everything. I'd love to see you again - sooner, rather than later! And neither of you has met my husband yet, either, so that would be lovely.
I hope all is going well with you, my friend! :)

Date: 2008-07-09 12:50 am (UTC)Lovely to hear that the wedding went well, and that you acquitted yourself without the need to depend on a Rupert-Everett-esque best friend... :P
