I'm back! Happy belated birthday to
febobe, and happy early birthday to
janissa11. I hope both of you fabulous gals have a marvelous year to come!
Revolution Science Fiction has published a new interview with me, complete with pictures, particularly focused on The Magic Ring.
Mythcon 37 was simply wonderful. I was deeply gratified by the excellent responses to my Guest of Honor keynote speech, panels, reading, and signings. I saw many dear friends and colleagues, visited with my family (including my sister Margret, who is a graduate student there at the University of Oklahoma), and came back with wonderful notes, contacts, and ideas. It was a particular thrill to meet Lois McMaster Bujold (and hear her read from her forthcoming book) - and be portrayed and parodied with her by the Not-Ready-For-Mythcon Players! - and
vonjunzt (who presented some truly fascinating work on H.P. Lovecraft).
( Margret and I illustrate that The Magic Ring is a page-turner! LOL. )
I am still recovering from the trip, and appalled by all I need to accomplish to meet some article deadlines and also prepare for my fall classes, so I may be a bit slower than I'd like in catching up with everyone. But I am here!
I did notice that I was tagged by
sneezythesquid for the "which one book" meme, so here goes:
( Which One Book? Meme )
It is a mistake to think you can solve any major problems just with potatoes.
