*cue drum roll*
Jun. 22nd, 2009 08:01 amHappy Monday, everyone!
*cue drum roll* Guess what? I have a brand new official website! You're invited to drop by and check it out. My LiveJournal layout also has been redesigned to match the site. Huge thanks to the very talented Melissa K. Slouber, who created the banners for the website and LJ using artwork I love, a classic illustration by J.J. Grandville from Un Autre Monde (1844).
In other news...
* A Wicked Convergence of Circumstances has a new interview up with the wonderful fantasy and science fiction author
marthawells here.
* I've discovered a great podcast with dramatic readings of fascinating short stories by the likes of Lord Dunsany, H.G. Wells, J.G. Ballard, Stanislaw Lem, Olaf Stapledon, Thomas Disch, and Ursula K. Le Guin. It's called Miette's Bedtime Story Podcast.
"In these divine pleasures permitted to me of walks in the June night under moon and stars,
I can put my life as a fact before me and stand aloof from its honor and shame."
- Ralph Waldo Emerson, Journals

Date: 2009-06-24 08:28 pm (UTC)Of course, I had to struggle against my first impulse, which was to fill up every page with pictures of Virginia. :)

Date: 2009-06-22 10:07 pm (UTC)Yes, that's me - and what a kind thing to say! Thank you so much. I wanted it to seem personal, which is why it's my face there - of course, my preference would've been to turn the whole thing into a Boston terrier shrine for Virginia! Ha!

*blush* You're much too kind! I don't know about "hot," except in the most literal sense; it is, after all, going to be in the nineties today, according to the local meteorologist. So everyone here is hot! LOL. Bring on the winter, I say. I've been ready for it since March.
