Date: 2005-05-02 12:08 pm (UTC)Honestly, I don't think this is very spoilery at all. Remember the short preview that came out some months ago, with Qui-Gon and company in it, as well? If you saw that, you're spoiled enough already so that this won't be a big surprise. (Frankly, a lot of this is ships and CGI.) The nice thing about this is that it shows Anakin from the first two films (and Qui-Gon again from TPM!), so there's a lot of continuity. The long trailer that came out recently had quite a few spoilers: this has far less, IMHO.

Date: 2005-05-03 12:03 am (UTC)I'm glad to hear of the continuity! That was what got me so excited when the initial teaser was released, the tying of it all together. No mean feat when the saga stretches across 30 years.
And the DVD sounds fantastic! It's all very exciting :)

I agree! Actually, that's one of the reasons I'm so excited about the music, too, because just hearing some of those themes will give me chills and help me connect all of these films, you know?
Anyway, enjoy!

Here's to the Jedi and the women who love them! :)

Date: 2005-05-03 04:02 pm (UTC)Alan Rickman as Severus Snape in the Harry Potter Movie Series: "Hogwarts Hunk"
Sean Bean as Boromir in The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring: "Redeemed Hunk"
Liam Neeson as Qui-Gon Jinn in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace: "Forceful Hunk"
*goes fangirl squee, especially on Liam being a Forceful Hunk!*
I mean- how can you argue with this statement:
"He has it all: the eyes, the voice, the hair, the athletic power and grace, the intellectual firepower and control, and a liberal amount of Jedi mystery and tragedy, to boot -- everything, in fact, but a decent movie script for his film, and he's so hot I can't hold that against him. Liam Neeson stands heads and shoulders above anyone else the entertainment industry currently has to offer in terms of pure thinking-woman's hunkage, in my humble opinion. He was tragically underused and shortchanged in Star Wars: The Phantom Menace, but the camera and I still love him."
Qui Gon is definetly ther sexiest Jedi, even though hes meant to be about in his mids 50s :)
Blessed Be!

Date: 2005-05-02 03:36 pm (UTC)I have downloaded and listend, but did not watch for fear of spoilers. I think I would have loved Ep. I a lot more if I had not seen any previews, thus not knowing about the look of Maul or that he had a double-bladed saber. It was filmed beautifully, first seeing him in the blue holo, then in the flowing robe, then when he pops the hood back revealing the horns...then that shot of him lighting the other end of the saber...it would have been a mind-blowing suprise.
I have such a love/hate relationship with trailers... :)

Star Wars
Date: 2005-05-04 12:54 am (UTC)It's an amazing storyline when you think about it. Usually a movie/story starts with the evil one just there - already evil. Here we see it happening and know why. And we liked him! If Anakin could only have saved his mother, maybe he would not have had the unbeatable drive to become all powerful. I hope this movie will really show the anguish all the characaters will go thru watching Anakin turn.
Wouldn't it be fun to get a few people together to go see this?

I agree with you about what an amazing storyline this is. And it would be wonderful to get some people together to see it! What fun!
