Follow-Up Lovecraftiana, Etc.
Aug. 26th, 2010 09:24 amHappy birthday to
super_chik and happy early birthday to
dement1a. May you both enjoy many happy returns of the day!
In honor of H.P. Lovecraft's 120th birthday this month, StarShipSofa ran my unabridged narration of F. Paul Wilson's Lovecraft homage, the novella The Barrens, in three parts. The third and final installment is now available to stream or download on the latest episode of StarShipSofa. (Part 1 is here and Part 2 is here.)
In related news, my most recent StarShipSofa "History of the Genre" segment, which is about H.P. Lovecraft, is also available in the latest episode of the podcast. You can download it or listen to it here.
If you listen, I hope you enjoy!
And one last reminder, before the end of the month:
"Round pegs find round holes, square pegs find square holes. And by the same token, albeit with rather greater difficulty, I am sure that there must somewhere be a corresponding hole for such a peg as proverbial metaphor may dub trapezohedral!"
- H.P. Lovecraft, in a job application letter

Re: well-wishes
Date: 2010-08-26 03:36 pm (UTC)The story in brief is that my mother is currently fighting multiple myeloma. She's determined to beat it, and she's working with a wonderful team of doctors who specialize in this cancer, but of course every positive thought and good wish helps. I'm most grateful for your encouragement and support!
