The new international trailer for Serenity is now available.

And if Cthulhu is your homeboy, you're now in luck.

And here's a quote for the day:

"Power dies, power goes under and gutters out, ungraspable. It is momentary, quick of flight and liable to deceive. As soon as you rely on the possession it is gone. Forget that it ever existed, and it returns. I never made the mistake of thinking that I owned my own strength, and that was my secret. And so I never was alone in my failures."

LOL! I know what you mean. The FireflyFans.net site is good one-stop-shopping for fandom news and creativity (art, fan fiction, etc.), and the official Serenity site has all the latest updates and very active discussion boards.

Oooh, you are a star. *smooches you* I had a scary moment when I saw a piccie of the crew that didn't have Shepherd Book, which nearly gave me a heart-attack, but then I saw another picture (but is he played by the same actor?), so crisis was averted.

it's the little things...

Glad to help a fellow fan! *smooches back* I know what you mean about Book - I nearly freaked out myself about the same think. As it turns out, he is in the film, played by the same actor, but I think his character spends part of his time planetside, so is more of a good friend to the crew rather than a constant passenger on the ship.

It's amazing that they got the entire original cast back. I'm so glad they did. I became so attached to all of them that I wasn't sure I could handle the film if a character had been dropped or portrayed by another actor!

By the way, if you like filk songs, check out "Mal's Song" by Escape Key here. It uses the ballad from Firefly as its chorus, and I really think the lyrics are nicely done.

Oooh, that's way fun. *g*

I am really really looking forward to the movie now. And it's odd - I don't often like an ensemble cast. I mean, I don't dislike them, but there's usually a character or two that catches my fancy and the rest sort of fit in around that. But in Firely I like just about everyone. It's quietly refreshing.

That song rocks. You're right about book, and the song apparently now has a video. I'll post/link it when I find it.

As for why the show died, it was Fox's fault. They pre-empted it like crazy, and also ran it out of order. They wanted it to die.
