Happy birthday to [livejournal.com profile] faramirgirl! I hope you have a wonderful day and many, many more!

And one more Half-Blood Prince essay recommendation, for good measure: [livejournal.com profile] fabularasa's "There is no room for misinterpretation of this book."

In honor of [livejournal.com profile] faramirgirl's birthday, a special quote for the day, one that captures the heart of a Hobbit:

In western lands beneath the Sun
the flowers may rise in Spring,
the trees may bud, the waters run,
the merry finches sing.
Or there maybe 'tis cloudless night
and swaying beeches bear
the Elven-stars as jewels white
amid their branching hair.

Though here at journey's end I lie
in darkness buried deep,
beyond all towers strong and high,
beyond all mountains steep,
above all shadows rides the Sun
and Stars for ever dwell:
I will not say the Day is done,
nor bid the Stars farewell.

from The Return of the King, J.R.R. Tolkien

That is TOO FUNNY! Thank you so much for passing it my way. So true, so true. Ah, fandom... :)

I haven't found all that much good Lupin talk yet. I need to search around. There are questions just begging to be discussed, I would think: what he's had to do to try to win over the werewolves (how he's lived, etc.), what it must have been like to learn Fenrir was the one who bit him (and he did so deliberately), how his feelings for Tonks have grown, etc. I've got to track down some fan talk on all of this. I'll give you a heads up if I find anything - please do the same! Many thanks! :)
