Anderson elaborates in an interview: "It is very likely not the book by the Harvard historian that 300 people in the world read that gives us a historical sensibility and becomes part of how we behave in the world," he says. "It's The X-Files."

Date: 2011-05-10 03:32 pm (UTC)To be honest, I had my doubts about Joshua Jackson when I first saw him on the series - based on absolutely nothing concrete or informed, mind you, just the knowledge he'd been a teen sensation back in the day - and he's gone on to make quite the believer out of me. He repeatedly nails his performance and shows such subtlety, especially with the father/son dynamic. It's just wonderful to watch.
Seriously, Anderson, lay off the Harvard historians! ;)
