Thanks to everyone for being so kind about our sweet girl. I'm most grateful for the good wishes you've been sending in her direction.

Here's a quick update: three days ago she had the fourth of her six chemotherapy treatments. Thus far, with the exception of sleepiness for a couple of days after each treatment, she's suffered no side effects. She's monitored carefully with weekly blood tests. Last week the oncologist also gave her an added battery of tests, including an echo-cardiogram, to make certain the chemotherapy wasn't damaging her internally, and the results showed her to be in very good health with no cause for concern.

She's being such a trooper about this. All the staff members at the hospital are wrapped around her little paw.

I took this picture of her this morning:

Virginia

Here she's settling in for her late-morning nap.

We're very optimistic about how her treatment is going. Thank you again for keeping her in your thoughts!

Oh sweet Virginia! How I wish I had been in touch with you (as I greatly prefer) so I would have known more about what was going on with her. She looks as bright eyed as ever, so the doctors must be right, she's in good health and tolerating her treatment well. She knows you love her and so I am sure she understands these treatments are necessary, that's why she is such a trooper - she trusts you. I will send long-distance Reiki and my love.

Oh, thank you so much, m'dear! She had surgery for polyps in her colon back in the late summer (actually, more like three separate operations), and the lab results determined that the beginning stages of an aggressive cancer were present and remained in "microscopic" proportions. So she's been doing the chemotherapy for almost twelve weeks now to stop/delay any return of it.

Thank you so much for your incredibly kind words. They mean a lot to me. She's been our best friend and family for over a decade, and we want to be there for her every step of the way.

I will send long-distance Reiki and my love.

We're most grateful for both! Thank you! *huge hugs*
