Happy November!

In publishing news, my article "The New Shoggoth Chic: Why Lovecraft Now?" (which deals with, among other things, what I'm calling the "Lovecraft-Tolkien connection") will appear in the Winter 2005 issue of Apex Science Fiction and Horror Digest. It's scheduled to hit newsstands mid-December.

In other news, I'm going to be rather quiet for the next several days as I prepare for and then participate in...



I look forward to seeing those of you who will be attending! I will catch up with LJ-land as soon as possible. In the meantime, please excuse my tardiness in replying.

Hey Amy! I will be at the conference this weekend...I'm taking the place of someone...I think she emailed you about it. Anyway, I will be attending all of the events on Saturday, but nothing on Thursday or Friday. Do I need to check-in before Saturday?

Nope - you're set, it sounds like! Though I would recommend checking out the Narnia on Tour room before Saturday, as we'll have lots of Lewis-related goodies (and giveaways that might be gone by Sat). You can see more here, FYI. Can't wait to see you! :)

I know you're up to your eyeballs in conf stuff right now - just wanted to say good luck with the whole thing!

I'm sure it'll be fantastic (hah. sorry...) and you'll be glad when it's over. hope you get to have some catch-up hibernation afterwards. :)
