eldritchhobbit: (Babylon 5)

Just in case anyone who remembers and loves Babylon 5 hasn't seen this yet:

In the wake of the recent death of Michael O'Hare, Mira Furlan made a moving post about the many cast members from Babylon 5 who have passed since the show's conclusion in 1998 (including O'Hare, Jeff Conaway, Andreas Katsulas, Tim Choate, and Richard Biggs). You can read her post here.

(Thanks to [livejournal.com profile] settiai.)

That was really beautiful. She sounds so much like her character!

Doesn't she just? I had the exact same impression.

I think you're right! I didn't know she had a blog. Looks like she's as lovely a writer as she is an actress.

Babylon 5 was such a wonderful show, and Mira gave a moving tribute to the wonderful cast members. Thank you for the link.

It's very sad news, isn't it? For a community that's already lost so many.

I came to the show only a few years ago, and fell in love with it like nothing else. Now I know why fans are nearly religious in their devotion and spreading the word to others!

In a way I am glad. I couldn't take this sort of news over and over.

Wow. He was young to die.

I like her lines about Seneca, there is much in what he says that I find resonates within me. But it is easier said than done.

Wasn't he? I think the oldest of the Babylon 5 actors to die was 61, and all the rest were younger. Two in their forties. Very sad.

I agree about Seneca, both that some of his views really speak to me, and that his suggestions are far easier said than put into practice.

You're most welcome. It's very sad, but I was grateful [livejournal.com profile] settiai posted about it, and I figured other fans would want to know, too.
