If you're on Goodreads (and if you're not, please consider yourself invited!), I've put up a giveaway copy of the soon-to-be-released Lois McMaster Bujold: Essays on a Modern Master of Science Fiction and Fantasy, which is the first essay collection devoted to Bujold's works. It includes a new interview with Bujold and an essay by a variety of scholars, including Yours Truly.

Oh yay! So glad you're interested (thanks!). I found that article to be very interesting, too. I may have to read that book she wrote. :)

Per your recommendation, I've joined up. I can already imagine all the time I'm going to be spending on there! *g*

Oh yay! I hope you enjoy it as much as I have. At first I only left reviews, I didn't rate the books (that stressed me out for some reason, LOL), but then I discovered the ratings were very useful, as they helped the site recommend related books to me. So now I rate everything too. I've won three books thus far through the "Giveaways" section, as well; it's very useful for keeping an eye on new publications.

If you want a "friend," I'd love to "friend" you!

Sure, that would be great. I'm "Gilda Felt" there. As soon as you do, I'll friend you back. :-)

Ooh, I may have to look at Mastermind for my Intro to Philosophy class! Right now I'm looking to replace the crappy chapter on critical thinking in their textbook with a few volumes of "On the Case with Holmes and Watson," a series of short critical-thinking books that each use an ACD story as a springboard for discussing critical thinking. (I have a Very Exciting Reason for doing that . . . but it's not set-in-stone yet!) But this one sounds good, too. Thank you so much for the link!
