And thanks to everyone who participated in my poll about holiday music. There was a wide variety of answers, and I learned about albums I didn't know existed! I'll plan to check out several of them soon.


A few fun items:

1. Forbes has compiled The Forbes Fictional 15, a countdown list of the wealthiest fictional characters. Among them are Santa Claus, Bruce Wayne, and Lucius Malfoy.

2. Derek Powazek's The Subliminal Reassurances of Procedural Dramas is quite clever. I especially like the entries for the various Law and Order series, Monk, and NCIS.

3. Harry and the Potters' A Magical Christmas of Magic with Harry and the Potters (and Wizardly Friends and Magical Singing Creatures) is now available for your holiday listening pleasure. "Meet Me Under the Mistletoe" is up as an MP3.

I LOVE the Subliminal Reassurances thing! I laughed my tuchas off. The NCIS entry was brilliant. I just wonder why they didn't do 24, or does it not count as a procedural?

Oooh, good point about 24 - maybe they omitted it because it takes a season to resolve a "case," whereas these others deal with a separate issue each week? I would love to see what he did with it, though. I'm glad you thought it was dunny, too!

great, funny listing - I also liked the CSI one, having had detrimental levels of exposure to that show, its theme song, and frickin' Shakespeare-quoting Grissom.
