LOL! She is patient with us. That is from last year's holiday card. In reality, she loves to have her picture taken - when I pull out the camera, she starts posing - but the bow was pushing it. I especially love this picture, because you can tell she's just barely putting up with us by that point. ("Stupid humans. I'd better be getting cheese out of this deal." <-Which, of course, she did.)

I'm so glad the CDs arrived before you left. (I happen to be listening to "La Basse Dance de Magdelena" from your Hogwarts mix as I type this. *loves*) Have a very safe trip and a great holiday. I'll see you around cyberspace very soon (and miss you until then)!

Virginia doesn't look too sure about the "others" in the photo, but she is soooo precious! Give her lots of pats from me (and Barkley sends woofs and howls... he got a new coat for the occasion, a doggie "bomber" jacket with faux shearling; now he thinks he's the bees knees!).

Thank you!!! Yes, that's our little darling: Virginia, short for The Shire's Virginia Lórien. She was born on Tolkien's birthday, believe it or not. And she has us both wrapped around her little paw. ;) She'll be four in just a few days.

I loved your verses! And you're quite right -- that IS the TLIW candle on my icon. I can't really think of Christmas without hearing in my head "Warm and rosy time. The hot wines steams, the Yule log roars and we’re the fat that’s in the fire.” LOL!
