There is no character I would choose to be in the Star Wars universe. It's a nice variant on the Campbell monomyth, but none of its characters is much smarter than a stump.

Answering this question is a Tahl order. I'll have to think about who I would want to be.

The one I probably actually would be is the stormtrooper who says "Yeah, some of the other guys were telling me about it. They say it's quite a thing to see!" I believe his name is Frank.
