In other news...

* I've been invited to be a guest on NPR's "On Point" (11am-noon Eastern) on Friday. We'll be talking -- what else? -- Star Wars. I'm looking forward to it.

I am hiding from the spoilers/reviews until I can figure out where and when I'm able to go. I cannot handle crowds. I need to give it a few days or even a week... even though it kills me to do so!

I know exactly what you mean about crowds. I'm sure I'm going to want to do multiple viewings, but at least some of those will have to wait until everyone else is in school or at work and I can slip into some quiet matinees.

And good for you for avoiding spoilers! (FYI, if/when I do post anything about my first viewing, it will be spoiler free.)

Another excellent segment of "Looking Back on Genre History"! Sorry so late commenting on it, but it definitely enhanced my experience of the latest SW movie. Again, it's just too bad we can't have transcripts of these segments -- there's so much in each & every one.
