I'm back from an action-packed Worldcon, just in time for the start of a new semester!

My stand-alone academic presentation from the con, "His Fordship in the Capitol and Big Brother in the Districts: How The Hunger Games' World of Tomorrow Builds on SF's Classic Past," is now available for free on the latest episode of StarShipSofa. If you listen, I hope you enjoy!

And here is Kaitlyn at Worldcon, her very first (but not her last!) con. Steampunk Star Wars shirt? Check. TARDIS? Check. Happy smile? Check.

Her frames and mine match now, which tickles me so much! :)

Oh goodness, yes! I should've sent you a message, I'm so sorry. I left a review at Goodreads. I still have the post-its marking lines that made me tear up or -- this happened more than once -- see a familiar moment with new eyes or from a different perspective, thanks to your remarkable choice of words. It really is a tremendous gift for anyone who loves Tolkien (or just beautiful poetry, for that matter). I'm so grateful you shared it with me!

Matching frames! I love it! and TARDIS blue. So cool!

I have to admit that I've not been active in following reviews so thank you so much for what you say above......I'm sure you know how writing efforts can leave you ....well, fragile, so it means a lot that you enjoyed it so much. Thank you!
