I recommend the informative and engaging Asian Madness Podcast, in which Jessica (”The Mad Asian”), with a clever and dry wit, “discusses true crime, superstition, urban legends, mysteries, and weird news from the Asian continent.”

Especially perfect for the Halloween season are two episodes on urban legends: Tales Told in the Dark, Part I (Episode 2) and Tales Told in the Dark 2 (Episode 20).
The latter discusses, among other spooky topics, the Lavender Town Syndrome (also known as “Lavender Town Tone” or “Lavender Town Suicides”), a supposed peak in suicides and illness of children between the ages of 7-12 shortly after the release of Pokémon Red and Green in Japan, allegedly due to the sounds of the original “Lavender Town Theme.”
