Hello everyone! *waves* I just wanted to say that I'm not dead, just working. More updates soon. I'm wishing everyone the best in the meantime.

The quote of the day made me smile for several reasons. Yet another reason to love Valancourt Books (well done!):

An exciting forthcoming title announcement -- David Towsey of Oxford University will be editing Charles Robert Maturin's classic The Albigenses (1824) for Valancourt Books in 2007. The Albigenses was selected in March 2006 for inclusion in the book 1001 Books You Must Read Before You Die, and it is Valancourt Books' sincere pleasure to bring this lost classic into print, thus giving the world at long last the opportunity, having read it, to die in peace.

Thanks! [livejournal.com profile] semyaza recently has been posting a series of icons from various illuminated mediaeval manuscripts, and this is one of hers.

Busy Busy Busy, lol! Actually it is oddly comforting to know you actually do have limits to how much you can accomplish at one time. I was about to accuse you of having a time-turner!

Not Dead, Just Working, would be a great title for something...

And then there could be a sequel: Not working, dead after all. ;)

Glad to hear you're not dead! B&Ned a horror collection the other day where all the stories are introed by Lovecraft. The new hubs said, "Holy crap, I didn't realize Lovecraft was such an academic." I laughed (for quite a while) and then hooked him up with Phasers as Excalibur and linked him to your LJ. You have a new fan. ;)

LOL! Awww...

Sorry I'm so behind on correspondence. Two of my books are in the very final stages, and I have deadlines I must meet - not to mention the students' final projects and exams. This too shall pass.

You've made my day with you comment. Just last Dec. I had an article out in Apex Science Fiction and Horror Digest entitled "The New Shoggoth Chic: Why H.P. Lovecraft Now?" If you're interested in a copy, let me know.

Sending best wishes to the BKH...

YES! (I'd love a copy, please.) I know you're swamped. Something about everybody wanting something from the stars, I think. ;)

Mine back to the GH.

I wonder if Charles Robert Maturin is related to Stephen Maturin.
