Ripper

I attended a Ripper panel once at Worldcon. The Writer Who Shall Be Nameless but Destroyed a Sickert Painting was mentioned and one of the panelists said "We're not here to bash her." The audience promptly yelled "Oh yes we are!" It was a case where the audience was full of fairly well-read Ripperologists, and only one panelist was really knowledgeable on the subject and carried a lot of the load. It was a standing room only panel.
