* Eos recently hosted an interesting round-table discussion on "Secret Histories and Con-Artists" with authors James Morrow, Tim Powers, Jeffrey Ford, and John Crowley. The three parts are here, here, and here.

* SciFiWire has an article here on a film I'm looking forward to a great deal, Children of Men. (Speaking of movies, has anyone else seen The Fountain? What a gorgeous and powerful film.)

* The Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers of America (SFWA) has announced that James Gunn will be named the next Damon Knight Memorial Grand Master. Presentation of the award will be made during the Nebula Awards Weekend in New York, NY on May 11-13, 2007.

*Raises hand* I saw The Fountain with Mom the day after Thanksgiving. It was stunning. I also can't wait for Children of Men. I read the book some time ago and thought it quite good.

Wasn't it stunning? It's so refreshing to see a film done in such a different way, and done so effectively. I think I must get the soundtrack.

And speaking of SciFi Channel, have you seen the upcoming series "The Dresden Files" from the SciFi Channel? Its based upon my favorite series of books by Jim Butcher of the same name! Check it out sometime, especially if you like dark humor (sracasam, with, irony, etc.) ;)
