For the past two years I have been so very pleased and proud to be a regular contributor to StarShipSofa: The Audio Science Fiction Magazine with my "History of the Genre" segments and my narrations, and delighted to work with its fantastic editor, a true visionary, Tony C. Smith. Tonight, StarShipSofa became the first podcast ever nominated for a Hugo Award. To Tony, to the other StarShipSofa contributors, and to all listeners and supporters, I offer heartfelt thanks and congratulations. History's been made!

And best wishes and congratulations to all of the 2010 Hugo Award nominees!

(Along with Lawrence Santoro, Grant Stone, and Hugo-nominated editor Jonathan Strahan, I took part in a live podcast show with Tony reacting to/commenting on the nominations. You can download or listen to it here.)

At RavenCon, would you sign any Cthulhu related books?

And if you want, I could lend you my CD of the Suspense adaptation of The Dunwich Horror (with Ronald Coleman as Armitage) for the weekend.

Hey there. I'll sign anything! :) I'll also have with me copies of several of my books, the most Lovecraftian of which is The Intersection of Fantasy and Native America: From H.P. Lovecraft to Leslie Marmon Silko. Thanks for asking!

And thanks a million for offering to loan me the CD! I'd take you up on that, but thanks to your recommendation, I tracked down this adaptation via podcast, so I think I should be able to download a digital copy of it. But I'm so glad you gave me a head's up about it - it sounds terrific.

Even though we have somewhat conflicting schedules, I'm sure our paths will cross at RavenCon. I look forward to saying hello in person!
