Yesterday's poll about favorite Halloween TV specials/episodes had a clear winner: It's the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown! Thanks to all who participated.

So here's an appropriate wish for you all:

title or description

Can anyone recommend good Halloween music mixes? So far I've really enjoyed the Halloween mix by [livejournal.com profile] maidoforange, "Songs of Death and Wickedness" by [livejournal.com profile] fyrdrakken, and "Music for Surviving the Zombie Apocalypse" by [livejournal.com profile] baylor_mixes.

Incidentally, I also would suggest checking out
"Revolution Science Fiction's 2005 Halloweenie Boonanza of Geek-Centric Fun 'n Such" and the History Channel's "History of Halloween" site.

And now a poem for the day:

In tombs of gold and lapis lazuli
Bodies of holy men and women exude
Miraculous oil, odour of violet.

But under heavy loads of trampled clay
Lie bodies of the vampires full of blood;
Their shrouds are bloody and their lips are wet.

"Oil and Blood," William Butler Yeats

Oooo, I have to get that Classics disk. And I'll post the list as soon as I'm able. :)
